How we handle your data.

We keep this short. We do not sell your data, we do not advertise to you, and we do not share what you tell us beyond what is needed to do the work.

01 · Who we are

European Shadow Work Facilitators, trading as Shadow Work Europe, registered at 66 Stanmer Villas, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 7HN, United Kingdom. The Information Commissioner's Office is our supervisory authority. This notice is drafted under UK GDPR.

02 · What we collect

Three kinds of information: contact details you give us when you write in (name, email, and the contents of your message); the data members give us to keep their directory listing accurate; and the anonymous analytics our website collects about how the site is used.

03 · Why we collect it

Contact details are used to reply to you and, where relevant, to forward your enquiry to the appropriate practitioner. Member data is used to run the directory. Analytics are used to improve the site. We do not use any of this data for marketing without your explicit opt-in.

04 · Who we share it with

Three kinds of third party: our email and booking systems (Mailchimp, for the optional newsletter; Amelia, for workshop enquiries); the practitioner you are contacting, when you submit an enquiry through their listing; and our hosting and analytics providers, who process data on our behalf under contract.

05 · How long we keep it

Contact-form messages are kept for up to seven years. Member directory data is kept for the duration of membership plus seven years for our records. Analytics data is retained in aggregate and is not personally identifying.

06 · Your rights

You can ask us at any time to confirm what we hold about you, to correct anything that is wrong, to erase your data (subject to our legal and contractual retention duties), or to object to a particular use. Use the contact form to do any of this. We aim to respond within 30 days.

07 · Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to make the site work, and an optional analytics cookie to measure how it is used. You can decline the analytics cookie at any time without losing any functionality.

This notice is reviewed annually. The current version was published in May 2026.
